Eventually you will be directly connected to the OWN travel company. All travel plans made through our pages will enrich us and further allow the members of OWN to receive deep discounts in the future when they travel.

OWN will also offer 9 day vacations for 4 people (all expenses paid) One of the ways we will use the money we earn in the running of this website is to purchase vacation homes. If we have one home, that’s 36 vacations a year the members of OWN can win. If we have 100 vacation homes, we’ll have 3600 vacations a year to give away. Lets enrich ourselves. Lets use the money we make to support US.

These vacations will be transferable and you can sell them. No reason to tie the hand that feeds all of us.

My hometown friends, George and Robert Riddle’s Mom, Blanche, was born 99 years ago, on Jan 6th and this is what it was like when she was born:

The average life expectancy was 47 years. Only 14 percent of the homes in the US had bathtubs. Only 8 percent had a telephone. A three-minute call from Denver to New York cost eleven dollars. There were only 8,000 cars in the US and only 144 miles of paved roads. The maximum speed limit was 10 mph. Alabama, Mississippi, Iowa and Tennessee were each more heavily populated than California. With a mere 1.4 million residents, California was only the 21st most populous state in the Union. Las Vegas had a population of 30.

The tallest structure in the world was the Eiffel Tower. The average wage in the US was 22 cents an hour. The average worker made $200-$400 a year. More than 95 percent of all births in the US took place in the home. Ninety percent of all US physicians had no college education…

Sugar cost four cents a pound. Eggs were fourteen cents a dozen. Coffee was 15 cents a pound. Most women only washed their hair once a month and used borax or egg yolks for shampoo. Crossword puzzles, canned beer and iced tea hadn’t been invented yet….

Buying up Schools

At Openworldnetwork.com (OWN) we believe in education, who doesn’t? We are always being educated by everyone and everything around us and our lives are purely educational. The education we are speaking about though is the spring board of our young lives. It is how we are introduced to the art of learning. The education of being educated. When we are taught for example that “there are no accidents in the world” this allows us to see around us with eyes that are open and full of wonder. This introduces the idea that you can have no fear for what life brings you , giving us wings to fly, to soar beyond the limitations the world is trying to set for us. We choose the answer in the moment that supports our best growth, that’s the education we need. Famous quote, “Give a man a fish and he eats for a day, teach a man to fish and he eats for a lifetime” (maybe not exact) But you get the meaning. Teach our children to fly, feed them good wholesome food and watch their wings grow, then allow them soar.With that idea in mind, OWN would like to someday purchase schools now being abandoned by our local government and hire teachers, pay them lots of money (what they are worth), and give our children the education they deserve. There are lots of examples of this out in the world now. Oprah did a whole show about schools, they are successful in educating their kids. She gave $1 million dollars to each of these schools to allow them to further their success.

At OWN, we believe in what Donald Trump says about this one particular thing, “hire the best and pay them the most!” Creating jobs, spreading joy and happiness, allowing our children the room to grow; these are noble goals.

We at OWN would like to feature an Android / Iphone app called LUIYOU, which stands for “Let Us Introduce YOU!”

This app will be available on the market the end of March 2011 and will allow you to be able to walk into an establishment whether a coffee house, bar or library and turn on and tune in to someone else that either matches your idea of compatible or not at all (opposites sometimes do attract). Check out this app on your Iphone or Android Phone and start letting go.
